From 1991 to 2012, the province’s average annual growth reached 11.2 percent. Its gross domestic product (GDP) stood at 1.28 billion yuan in 2014, and the growth rate slowed to 4.9 percent. The province’s growth ranked the 24th among the 31 provinces and autonomous regions on the Chinese mainland in 2014.
